[gnhlug-announce] SLUG meeting 7pm 4/14 Morse 301: Linux PDA's Zaurus & iPAQ

The next meeting is Monday 4/14/2003 at 7pm in Morse Hall room 301.

We will have a stock Zaurus 5500, an iPAQ 3835 running Familiar
0.7pre8 and Opie 0.9.3.  We're likely to also have a Zaurus running
Open Zaurus as well.

We'll cover installing Familiar on an iPAQ, the "ipkg" packaging
system, and some of the applications available for Opie.  The
differences between the stock Zaurus, OpenZaurus and Familiar on the iPAQ
will be covered as well.

Possible areas of further discussion include:  
  Cross compiling under Intel Linux for Opie
  programming for QPE/Qtopia
  iPAQ sleeve options
  types of memory cards
  The Handheld Developers Conference held last week in Cambridge
  Syncing/Backup options
