The monthly meeting of CentraLUG, the Concord/Central NH GNHLUG chapter,
happens the first Monday of most months at the New Hampshire Technical
Institute's Library, room 146, at 7 PM. Next month's meeting is on May
5th at 7 PM. Directions and maps are available at
http://www.centralug.org Open to the public. Free admission. Tell your
friends.

At this meeting, Ben Scott will present "The Linux Server That Could:
Setting up a Small Office Server."

About the presentation
======================
   You don't need a rack full of equipment and expensive software to
provide IT infrastructure for a modern small office. You can do it
all with just one Linux server running on a computer you might already
have. Ben will explain some of the many packages and features of
Linux that can give a small office big-company functionality. This
will include:

   * LAN infrastructure - DNS, DHCP, WINS
   * Internet gateway & firewall
   * Windows integration with Samba
     * File and printer sharing
     * Windows NT domain controller emulation
     * Network user logons and roaming profiles
   * Self-hosted email
     * Have email addresses at your own domain (you at example.com)
     * Network-based and shared mailboxes with IMAP
     * Web mail for access anywhere
   * Remote access with SFTP, SSH, and/or OpenVPN
   * Automatic backups with tar and/or rsync
   * And much, much more...

   This will mostly be a high-to-medium level overview, but will
include some technical material, and -- with luck -- a live demo.
