[GNHLUG] CentraLUG, THIS MONDAY, May 4th: Cole Tuininga, MySQL Optimization

CentraLUG, the Central New Hampshire Linux User Group meets the first 
Monday of most months somewhere in Concord. This month's meeting will be 
a the Sybase offices on Loudon Road, thanks to member Larry Cook (see 
directions, below) and will feature Cole Tuininga talking on MySQL 
optimization.

About the presentation
----------------------

MySQL is often cited as the "M" in LAMP, a cornerstone of Open Source's 
presence on the Internet. Cole was recently given the opportunity to 
take Sun's official MySQL optimization class and will be sharing some of 
the tips and tricks that he learned. Cole Tuininga is a Python and MySQL 
fan, a regular attendee at PySIG and an employee at Dynamic Network 
Services, Inc in Manchester.

Directions

NOTE! Not our regular meeting place; meeting at the Sybase offices instead.

 From Interstate 93, take exit 14 and head east over the
Merrimack River.

   * Immediately after the bridge, take the first right.
   * Drive straight back to the cornfield, then turn right and then 
right again to get to the south end of the building.
   * Walk around the building to the right to come in the front (east)  
entrance.
   * Take the elevator to the fifth floor.
   * Straight off the elevator is Sybase.
   * Enter and turn left.
   * At the end of the hallway is the conference room.

CentraLUG plans to have a June meeting, but we have yet to secure a 
location: NHTI is closed in the evenings for the summer, and the 
Hopkinton Library is occupied. if you know of a hall that will hold a 
dozen or so -- a conference room or meeting room -- please drop me a 
note. Philip Sbrogna of MonadLUG has offered to come up to Concord to 
reprise his WINE presentation. Stay tuned for an announcement of 
location and details.
