This has been a good week for Linux here at Lucent. My manager
who was a Unix guy about a decade ago has recently re-exposed himself
using a Linux system he built himself. He is very impressed
and is getting the word out to his peers. This coupled with
the Verizon (below) shift to linux (Verizon is one of our very
important customers) and Jon "Maddog" Hall's recent interview
(which ended up on our real audio server somehow) just
might help make some real positive schange around here. I'm
somewhat hopeful at the moment.
Have a geek weekend.
