Monitor question

The only thing to remember is that most LCD monitors are maximized for a
single resolution. Check the docs for that monitro and found out what it is
and setup your system for that res. Then hook it up. when I hooked my NEC
LCD up i wasn't thinking and just plugged it in hwere a 15in CRT had been
and of course I had trash ..., Had to go back and set the computer to
1024x768 using the old monitor , then put the LCD on and reboot ... wokred
like a champ.

Well, you certainly shouldn't say 'no thanks'!  That panel takes an
analog input, so it shouldn't be difficult to get it to work.

The specs that I can find for that monitor indicate that it maxes
out at 1280x1024, with a max vsync of 85 Hz and a max hsync of 92 kHz.
That should be all the information xf86config needs to set up the monitor.
