CVS vs RCS (was Re: prolonging the emacs discussion)

I use CVS over RCS because it not only does the job that RCS does, but 
also allows me to keep my laptop in sync with my desktop by doing a 'cvs 
update'. Emacs also understands CVS commands which are pretty much the 
same as RCS with a few extras thrown in.

When you do serious software development on multiple machines or with 
multiple people something like cvs is a lifesaver.

And yes, when you use RCS or CVS those emacs backup files get deleted.
