Perhaps this is why? ;)  My father uses and likes Yahoo groups for 
planning his high school reunion, my brother uses and likes Yahoo 
groups for keeping in touch with his social awareness groups, but I 
don't like Yahoo groups very much at all.  I don't really care for them 
myself, because I don't like knowing that Yahoo (an ad-subsidized 
company) has my email address.  The ads in the emails/support pages 
aren't great either.  I guess I'm just spoiled from having been 
subscribed to so many Mailman-based lists, but I realize bandwidth 
isn't free.

That said, I registered anyway.  I'm already on a couple of Yahoo 
groups.  But I don't -like- it.  ;)         (I hope nhoug attracts more 
interest.)
