I received a notice from Microsoft, delivered to "membership at li.org".
This mailing list which is strictly used for receiving inquiries about
membership, and would never be listed as a "send me more info" address.

So this email, of course, was SPAM. Then I went to the bottom of the page
to opt out of the mailing list, and this message was there:

>If you prefer not to receive future promotional e-mails of this type, please
>click here to unsubscribe. Please note that it can take up to eight weeks to
>update customer information in our database; therefore, you may receive e-mail
>from us within that time period.

Eight weeks for the request to be transferred from their mailbox to their
database. This MUST be a company that can show their customers leadership
in using computers.
