Hi,

Twice a year I buy some display space at Hoss Traders, the Ham Radio
sell-and-swap-goods-and-yarns held at Hopkinton fairgrounds. It is always
a lot of fun.

Last spring we bought four tables worth of space, and it cost:

	o 4 x $35. for the space
	o 4 x $10 for renting some tables
o 2 x $10 for exhibitor tickets (to let people in early)

for a total of $200, which I paid myself. We had too much room, so this
fall I would recommend two tables of space, which would bring the cost down
to:

	o 2 x $35. for the space
o 2 x $10. for the tables (which could be eliminated if we brought
our own 8' tables (or several smaller ones)
	o 2 x $10. for tickets

for a total of $110. with tables and $90. without. I am still willing to
pay these amounts for the group, but I need to know NOW whether we need more
than the two tables this fall.

This fall the event is held on Friday, Oct. 3rd, and Saturday Oct. 4th. This
is just at the beginning of leaf peeping season, and it should be beautiful
up at the fairgrounds, with that hint of snap in the air. I will not be
traveling (for once), so I can camp out overnight, and stay there the whole
time. Having someone to drink beer with would be nice (Rob Anderson, are
you out there?) And this time it is NOT going to rain!

For those of you who have not been up there, even if it does rain, OUR
display is inside.

This year it would be nice to have some recent Knoppix CDs made up, and
perhaps revitalize our NUN "floppy" to hand out.

You can read about the festivities at www.qsl.net/k1rqg

Thanks,

md
