I have just recently installed Fedora (upgraded from 7.3) and have run
into two problems, One with my printers, and the other seems to be an
issue with the X terminal.
I am trying to set up an HP Laserjet 3p(which was working fine with 7.3)
, and when I go through the printer configuration gui, I select the
printer etc, and at the end of the configuratiojn, I hit the Apply
button, at which point, I get an error message saying that it couldn't
write the printer queue, diaolg box says Failed to write queues."
Second problem is on the main system monitor screen, I cannot open more
than one terminal window (or any other application) all I get is an
hourglass for a few seconds and then it disappears, without launching
the app, although it works fine if I use VNC from another system. Also
when the screen saver kicks in, there is a message
Xlib: connection to ":0.0" refused by server
Xlib: No protocol specified
Error: Can't open display :0.0
xscreensaver 22.53:22: 0: child pid 24893 (ccurve) exited abnormally
(code 1).
