Looking for MLM with web-based interface for users.

Hi all,

I've been hosting some GNU Mailman-based mailing lists for a while now,
and my users are looking for more flexibility. For this particular set
of users, we currently have two lists set up, similar to GNHLUG: one is
an announcements-only list, and the other is a general discussion list.
Messages from the announcements list are automatically sent to the
discussion list, so people only have to be subscribed to one or the
other.

As the discussion list has grown, the volume of mail has reached a point
where many users want to stay involved in some discussions but not
others, and don't want to switch over to the announcements-only list.
They are not technically trained enough to figure out mail filtering
software or otherwise deal with the problem on their end. What they want
is to be able to fully interact with the list via a web interface,
including posting replies. GNU Mailman only allows you to read the
archives via the web.

Can anyone suggest a solution? The list is starting to dissolve into two
camps: one that wants to move the lists to YahooGroups, but the other
half hates Yahoo and the advertisements. :)

I need the list software to be free (as in beer and speech) and run on
my redhat server.

TIA,

Scott
