mouse and keyboard lockup w/ RedHat 8.0

This has happened to me also in the past. Not recently. When it does 
happen I can always telnet in. Not clear that it's X related. I'vechecked 
logs and come up with nothing. To restart X I just kill all the X 
processes and then just rerun startx. As for more? I'm also open to 
suggestions.
