I've found that most of RH8 and RH9 were fine, except for the change 
in apache and mod_perl.Starting with RH8, Redhat switched to Apache2, 
and something about that broke its ability to install and upgrade 
perl modules from CPAN. 

Note that I use a lot of my own home-grown command-line scripts, and I 
haven't really done much with the graphical config tools that Redhat 
provides, so I can't say anything meaningful about them.
