Hi,

BSD would not be immune to issues that SCO is raising here.

Basically SCO is saying that IBM and SCO had worked on a project
together, and IBM contributed code to a free software operating
system that was threatening their business.

Ergo, if BSD was perceived by SCO as threatening their business,
and IBM had contributed code to it, SCO would be suing IBM and
making noise about BSD.  It is that simple.
