Actually, it's the Red Hat 9 source itself. The current issue is the
rpm-4.2 source that comes with Red Hat 9. The missing function is the
'error' function. Seems to exist in libc.a:error.o (according to nm
-Bgo /usr/lib/libc.a) on Red Hat, but not on NetBSD.
