It can't be as simple as that, since I regularly encounter mail from
Outlook users that include URLs that are broken up with a newline,
like this:
http://www.merit.edu/mail.archives/nan
og/msg11000.html
Thankfully, my mailer has a feature that can correct this bogosity,
but still, I have to invoke this manually, and until I do this I can't
easily select a link like this that somebody has mailed to me.
I think that the rule that Outlook uses is "try to always do the wrong
thing".
