  I haven't really used up2date to it's full potential, but if you are
looking for an update tool that doesn't require any kind of registration,
go grab apt4rpm (the package is actually just called apt) from freshrpms.net.
The default sources.list points to freshrpms' own repository and includes all
of the official updates from Red Hat (albeit, usually a day or two behind when
the errata are released).
