Do you have a file called submit.cf?

If so find the line that reads:

D(MTAHost)[127.0.0.1] 

and change the 127 address to whatever your mailhost is.

You also need to prevent the MTA daemon from starting.
This is according to SysAdmin magazine.  Let me know if it works.
