  Okay.  I ask only because I've lost count of the times people have said "I
didn't change anything" only to later remember that they did change one,
tiny, little thing that shouldn't have made a difference, but did.  :)

  Weird.  Hmmmm.  I wonder if maybe the system's been hacked.  It may be
that an attacker tried to replace the kernel with a trojan'ed copy, but
screwed something up.
