Wow, it's been a long time since we went hunting for a QA person.  Now
that Elaina is moving to Marketing, we find ourselves with an opening
that we are restructuring somewhat.  We are looking for a senior person
who is an automation fanatic.  We need this person to help us bring
automation tools to the QA department, and also run testing on his/her
own.  This is a great opportunity for a QA professional with strong

*Sr. Media Software QA Engineer*
*Responsibilities -*

           o Perform functionality, integration, regression and system
             testing of WSI's complete line of weather presentation systems.
           o Implement automated test routines based on a combination of
             scripting and development languages or off-the-shelf software.
           o Work closely with software developers, collateral material
             developers, customer support, applications engineers and
             systems engineers to create and execute test cases from
             specifications and product requirements.
           o Focus on quality issues and make contributions beyond
             immediate assignments; including taking initiative to
             improve the testing process, creation of test procedures,
             and becoming a customer advocate in the development
             organization.
           o Research and report any and all defects using the defect
             tracking system.

*Requirements -*

           o BS degree or equivalent work experience in Computer Science
             or related field.
           o 3+ years of product quality assurance and testing experience.
           o Strong process orientation in QA and testing methodologies.
           o Systematic approach to problem solving.
           o Experience testing on a variety of operating systems,
             including: Microsoft based products (NT, 2000, XP), Silicon
             Graphics Irix 6.3 through 6.5, Red Hat Linux distributions
             7.x and above, Solaris 2.5 and above.
           o Self-motivated, willing to learn new concepts and products
             quickly.
           o Strong interpersonal, writing, and communication skills and
             must be able to present difficult concepts clearly and
             concisely to both a technical and non-technical audience.
           o Dedication to customer service and satisfaction.
