Must be - I've received several off-list replies indicating other
Comcast customers can still ping. Just now I tried pinging my home
machine from work:

[sgarman at einstein ~]$ ping 24.62.253.43
PING 24.62.253.43 (24.62.253.43) from 132.177.88.52 : 56(84) bytes of
data.

...

So apparently this is the case. :(
