One other thing to consider is that the mass transit options
may be better (or more precisely, less pathetic?). You can
get a train as far out as Fitchburg, if you want to deal with
the lack of schedule alternatives. Not sure about other
lines, whether there is comparable out toward Worcester or
down further south. As I recall the only train north ends at
Lowell, although it may go farther now (I wouldn't bet my
commute on it) - also there may be something that goes up to
Portsmouth, but I'm not sure. Check the web (MBTA) for yourself.
Also driving route 2 inbound is not really great from the
Concord rotary on in. Consider pikcing up the train at the
South Acton or West Concord station. Don't have firsthand
knowledge of any others.
