Barry,

You're quite welcome. We always welcome folks to our group. Two
things I'd like to mention to you:

First, every now and then there is someone like yourself who send a
very similar e-mail requesting information about a LUG in the North
Country. There are several of you up there, all that is needed is
someone with a "Take Charge" attitude to begin pulling all the
interested people up there together every now and then for a meeting.

You don't need to be a seasoned Linux veteran or computer guru to
organize a meeting. You need just a modicum of organizational skills
(if *I* can organize a meeting, anyone can :) a place to meet, a few
people to meet with, and occassionally someone to present to the
group.

We've had meetings in people's houses, at brew pups, libraries, town
halls, restaurants, etc. I encourage you, if you're so inclined, to
help revice the NNHLUG. We will gladly help you with anything we can.
If you're interested, I recommend visiting our website and poking
around the wiki. We have a lot of things listed there to help with
getting meetings together (at least we did :) And, feel free to join
the gnhlug-org mailing list which is primarily used by those of us
who attempt to herd this group of cats. We'll gladly assist in any
way we can.

Secondly, there's a discussion going on on the -org list now about
GNHLUG getting involved with some project that has something to do
with Free/Open Source Software and the NH school systems. Your
experience and insights may well be quite valuable to them. I
encourage you to join that list as well if you're interested.

Thanks,
