Speaking of Mandrake, I think I found a broken tool....

I think I just found a broken Mandrake tool: drakfont

If you use Mandrake, you might want to be careful in using it to install
TrueType fonts. I just tried to install a bunch from my collections
and... xfs (ergo, X) refused to start after that.

I'm currently Not Pleased.

For anyone interested, the logs are posted at
http://iarwain.mortis.org/drakfonterrors.txt

Grr.

A little manual editing of the font cache and removing entries with
chkfontpath and it's working again. I also rm -Rf'd the directories
drakfont created. I'm sure there was an easier way (permissions,
perhaps) but I was in no mood for it after watching my desktop lose X
functionality.

Just thought I'd warn you.

(drakfont is part of drakxtools. I've got drakxtools-9.2-19.6.92mdk
installed.)
