PHPGroupware was a fantastic project until they started adding
everything and the kitchen sink into the default install. It was much
better when they had the basics (email, bookmarks, contacts) and then an
addin for other stuff. Not many businesses care about MP3 jukeboxes,
comics, brewery information, etc. Sure, it's nice to have choices, but
having to turn off 20 features is the reason we hate MS products, isn't
it? Also, I have never, since the first day I tried it 3 years ago, to
today, have been able to get the email in PHPGroupware to work "right"
(right being a way that feels comfortable to me). They were on the right
track when they were trying to get squirrelmail in it, but last time I
tried PHPGroupware that idea seemed to be ditched.
