Searching a site - including in PDFs and (ugh) DOCs?

Hi Bill,

I use mnogosearch, a GPL application that is extremely powerful.
External parsers can be used to index any type of document (assuming
there is a parser available).  I think it comes with parsers for .xls,
.pdf and .doc  If not, I know they are available in the Free Software
community.

There are multiple front-ends including cgi and PHP.
