  Replace the hard disk.

OEM.

  Any hard disk made within the past 15 years or has "reserve" blocks which
are used to automatically remap bad blocks.  If bad sectors have started
showing up at the OS level, it means the built-in remapping has become
overwhelmed by all the errors on the disk.  Total disk failure is likely not
far off.
