Won't work as "mailto:" link

(and might be too complicated for those who *really* *need* a
simple point and click interface!)

Question, would a form entry be an acceptable alternative?
It's what came to mind for me first. Seems a little more work
than a simple mailto: tag but seems pretty good alternative to
allow as good insulation from the 'bots as you care to work up.

Another idea, a lot of the sites that require username and
password have links for "forgot your password" and "forgot
your registration". You might be able to use something like
that to link to an automated request facility that doesn't
present your email address to the entire online universe of
spambot harvesters and Viagra peddlers.

I am interested to hear from others who are more knowledgeable
than I (not saying much!) about the ability to protect the
mailto: value, or anything else for that matter, from 'bot
harvesting.

THANKS!
