Of course, you can be curious, but your curiosity will probably
forever remain unsatisfied.

You know how patents work: a lot of the time they're used as a
defensive mechanism, and in most of the situations in which they're
brought up in business "negotiations", they're brought up behind
closed doors, out of the courts, out of the press, and out of public
scrutiny.
