They probably spent quite a bit. I've heard M$ has some of
the best ambulance (ummm, make that 'patent') chasers in the
world on their payroll. (Hmmmm - I wonder how many of those
"violated" patents were "SCO" patents?)
Oops - did I just mention M$ lawyers and SCO in the same
paragraph? Sorry... ;)
