For that matter, how about an htpasswd protected Wiki?
That way people can make changes on their own.
Of course, a cooler idea would be a password protected LDAP server
with a decent web-frontend allowing family members to edit their data.
Then they could just point their e-mail app at the LDAP server and not
have to worry about remembering e-mail addresses.
