   It's getting kind of weird.  Prices in the PC world have dropped hugely. 
At the same time, the systems get more and more complicated.  People keep 
asking for lower prices, and OEMs have cut support funding to give them that. 
The practical upshot is that if you have to pay a professional to "fix your 
computer", the bill can easily come to $300 or $400.  When a brand new system 
costs not much more then that, why bother?

   PCs are becoming disposable.  Even if it's a software problem, if it breaks, 
you throw it out and get a new one.
