[OT?] domain registration durations

Tangentially, if you're looking to get out from under a registrar, 
EasyDNS will honor the years you've paid for as long as you buy an 
additional year from them.

If the supposition you pose is true, that's twice as nice as I had 
thought.

The only problem I've had with them is they're Canadian so they can't 
register .US domains.  I use DynDNS.org for those.  But an engineer 
answers the phone from the data center on the third ring if there's a 
problem which is so worth their higher-than average fees.
