question connecting fedora to comcast

I'm not familiar with xDSL, but I wouldn't expect it to work; it's
probably trying to set up PPPoE, which shouldn't what you are using.

I suspect that the proper setting is "Ethernet".  Try making sure that
"DHCP" or "Dynamic IP address" is selected, NOT "static IP address".
Everything else should be "dynamic" as well, I would expect.
