philips dmvc 300k funcam -> linux?

If anybody on this list has had any success snarfing the images off of
a Philips FunCam (model: DMVC 300k) over a USB cable, please give me
the details as to how you did it.  gphoto2 doesn't recognize it; it
isn't a USB storage device either.

One of these arrived in my mailbox the other day.  I don't have much
use for it, but you never know when it might be useful.

The camera came with a Windows CD; I haven't tried that yet.
