The host should never be using both wired and wireless simultaneously.
(granted, this does happen, and when problems occur, the solution is
always "turn one of them off :)
There is no reason you can't assign a different hostname to each NIC.
You can still access that host regardless of which NIC it's using, you
just access it using a different hostname. Besides, using a different
hostname makes you logging crystal clear as to whether the problem was
happening via wireless or wired networks, which means one less
question you need to ask the user.
