Some MDA's have duplicate-suppression based on Message-ID headers.  
That would be ideal if feasible.

Otherwise, yes, it would only be a problem for someone who can't 
remember the address and doesn't have an address book and can't get to 
the website - basically someone posting from a TTY using mail(1) where 
lynx isn't installed.
