Fair enough.  I don't recall seeing much Python offered here, but if
code is offered it should be workable (Python or otherwise).  I did
test the one example I've posted within memory, the gethostbyname
microscript (if it was one of the duds please let me know! - I'd
welcome the chance to correct anything which is busted, again whether
in Python or whatever).
