Python "SIG" meeting - last night's "minutes"

Hey all,

In my original words, that was preceded by a blanket statement that Perl
was simply better than Python at many things, particularly, just like
the acronym, Practical Extraction And Reporting. I do not believe Python
will replace Perl, nor is Python simply a "better language". Perl is, in
my personal opinion, a more powerful tool for many tasks. However, Perl
can be unwieldly; it's very flexibility and power can be, in the wrong
hands, a fear-inspiring thing indeed, resulting in projects that have
quite interesting problems.

Basically, IMHO, Perl's awesome, Python's great, PHP's fantastic, and
Ruby is breathtakingly sublime.

Take it easy,

David J Berube
