Knoppix and Gnome.

Hey, all. I just bought a new notebook, and slapped Knoppix on it. I
really like Knoppix, especially its hardware detection -- which is why I
went with it instead of the more generic Sarge -- but I'd like to be
running Gnome. Installing Gnome is easy enough, but how do I go from a
stock-plain-ol' Gnome install, to one with all the bells and whistles?
For example, how about watching USB hot plug? Nifty utils? Does anyone
have a list of their favorite Gnome-esque Debian packages, or know where
I should look? [And, yeah, I could have run Gnoppix, but a) I'm not
even certain that installs to disk (it didn't say in the Gnoppix FAQ),
and b) Knoppix is more widely known, and I'm hoping to get Win4Lin
runnig on it.]
Thanks,
-Ken
