Couple things about working for a school district for those that are
interested. Having worked in one myself and my wife being a teacher I
have some background.
you -WILL- have to undergo an FBI background check, but the school
should pay for this. My wife did however have all kinds of issues with
the local PD doing her finger prints.
If you get the job and need to do a budget be sure to ask for WAY more
then you need, most of it will get cut.
Be ready to do fund raising, yes, even for this job, to raise money to
buy stuff.
Never throw anything out unless it's totally broken, somebody will need
that old sound card or floppy drive at some point.
Working at the public access TV station in Gofftown I used to have to
scrounge for cables in the dumpster.. the computer guy for the school
was usually right there with me. :)
