Filesystem full ?!?

Time to display my ignorance - I tried googling for various phrases
but I'm picking the wrong ones.  I have created a nice big software
RAID 5 on my home system from 3 250GB drives, and I thought everything
seemed great... then I started getting "filesystem full" messages when
I tried to copy some more goodies over to the ext3 filesystem I
created on it.  df shows plenty of free space, and here's part of the
output of dumpe2fs: http://oddones.org/fsdump.txt

Why on earth am I out of space?  The blocksize I used should be good
to 16TB...have I forgotten something obvious?  The files currently on
it are all large (3-6 MB each) and it's only 54% full according to df.
