highpoint 464 and Fedora C2 (2.6.5-1.358 kernel)

Hello All

I put together a screamin' box.

Anybody out there get ( fedora 2.6.5-1.358 ) install working with a
highpoint raid card? They have a driver disk for RH9 which works well
for that distrib and source code to compile a module BUT I have compiled
the module on this FC2 box (same kernel) after tweaking the version
string in the Makefile and .config in the kernel source dir, the module
won't load.

brief install - boot the FC2 install in text mode using
hde=noprobe....hdl=noprobe

switch to another console and load the compiled module form a floppy
(sneakernet)

problem - undefined symbols! arg.

module won't load, can't install.

been google-ing for a day.

thoughts?
