   I "recommend" having more then that.  But I'm also a professional computer 
administrator working in production environments.  Home computers generally 
have entirely different expectations for service levels, and I try to temper 
by desire to engineer everything to high standards with the fact that email 
and web browsing just ain't all that demanding.  I didn't want any new users to 
be scared off by all the things you *can* do, so I prefaced my technical 
analysis with that disclaimer.  :-)
