European Ministers approve software patents, Parliamentary vote still pending...

At last nights CentraLUG meeting, there was discussion over the status 
of European software patent rules. It appears that I was a day late and 
dollar short in my information:

If I understand correctly, the "European Council of Ministers" has 
approved this rule, but it still requires a vote by the European 
Parliament before become the EU law.
