C or C++?

If it were me I'd go with C++.  C++ allows better commenting.

Besides, and seriously, the better business decision as embodied
in going with the client's stipulations would likely trump any
technical distinction that you can find between C and C++ -- and
your responses here seem to favor C++ in that shootout anyway.
