seen is wild speculation about everything from the Mass software
industry to Microsoft to the Free Masons pulling the strings behind
the scenes.  If that's what ya'all are bringing to the State House, be
prepared to be received as the conspiracy nuts you would be acting
like.  You'll do the cause of FOSS far more harm then good.

  Based on available fact (which is, alas, pretty limited), this
appears to be a power struggle.  Group A is mad that Group B made a
unilateral decision.  Group A says unilateral decisions are bad --
unless they're Group A's unilateral decisions, of course.  You don't
need conspiracies to have that, just a few human beings.

  I think you're better off convincing all involved of the merit of
open standards, rather then trying to solve the problem of power
struggles in politics.  (That would be kind of like solving the
problem of water being wet.)
