As I recall some of the 'Office Buildings of the Future' built in the 
50/60's had building-wide ozone generators that would flood the 
building at night with ozone to get rid of the stink from Bob's 
Fish-'n-Onions sandwich.

They were reportedly disconnected when all the plastic in the offices 
started to crack and fall apart.

Ozone is one of those 'free radicals' vitamins protect against.  
Nothing you'd want to breathe.
