I've passed it on to the faculty I know at SNHU and NHTI.
It's in the SwaNH weekly email newsletter. Good job, Bill!
New UNIX Pioneer Speaks to GNHLUG at their Quarterly Meeting
Doug McIlroy, who managed the Bell Labs department that gave us the
Unix operating system, will give a public talk entitled "Ancestry of
Linux - How the Fun Began" at GNHLUG’s Quarterly Meeting. McIlroy
developed the famous "pipe" mechanism and several of the popular
utilities specially designed to work with pipes. He plans to
reminisce about computing in the 1960s and 1970s and point out some
of the advances they made. Refreshments served.
