Network equipment (was: Tuning NFS)

I have a few Netgear gigabit switches that I've been happy with.

I have 2 of the GS724T managed switches in a lab with all sorts of VME
boards connected.  I also have a 16 port unmanaged switch and a 5 port on my
desk.

We also have the usual Cisco stuff in our infrastructure.  Gigabit to the
desktop.

I'd stay away from rebranded stuff.  Get the original OEM
